Italian born artist Petro explores the relationship between ICT ( information and communication technologies), the sound of language, and its role in preserving the cultural identity of transnational communities. LOA: Art Space as Safe Space
On the 20th March, LOA offered up the unoccupied gallery space for medical workers to avoid commuting and allow self-isolate. An NHS reproduction nurse was newly reallocated to the Homerton hospital moved into the gallery on the 2nd April.
In her words:
'Thank you so very much again, honestly I can’t tell you what a relief it has been coming back to rest after shift without having to worry about my beautiful housemates getting poorly. I am very comfortable here! '
She also made us a card on her way out.
